What a booster does
Raising pressure in a line that already has water
Low pressure at the taps or on an upper floor usually means the supply is fine but the pressure is not. A booster takes water from a main, tank or cistern and delivers it at higher pressure. A transfer pump instead moves liquid to a destination, and well supply is in the well pump guide.
Flow and pressure together
Size the pump for the peak flow the fixtures need at the pressure you want, not only the pressure. Multistage designs give higher pressure per size, while single-stage ones give more flow.
The water pressure booster pump for homes and buildings
Household and building water pressure boost is the most common use.
Where it is used
Typical uses are a house on a weak mains supply, an upper floor or a hillside property, an apartment riser, a cistern or tank feed and garden or irrigation lines.
Pressure switch and tank
A pressure switch starts and stops the pump, and a tank smooths demand so the pump does not start with every tap. Set the cut-in and cut-out pressures for the fixtures served.
Constant pressure and variable speed
A variable-speed controller holds pressure steady by changing the motor speed, usually with a small tank. It is smoother and quieter at low flow but costs more and adds electronics. Ask for it at quote stage if you need it.
Flow switch
A flow switch starts the pump when water flows and stops it when flow ends, so no tank is needed. It suits simple on-demand boosting but cycles with very small draws.
Noise and placement
Pumps hum and vibrate. Mount on a base with flexible connectors, away from bedrooms, and add an isolation valve on each side. Keep the suction short and free of air.
Suction side and inlet pressure
A booster must not draw the main to vacuum. Check inlet requirements with the supplier of the water, and give the inlet pressure so the pump is sized for the difference.
Types, materials and protection
Multistage versus single-stage
Multistage pumps stack impellers for higher pressure at moderate flow. A single-stage centrifugal suits lower pressure rises at higher flow.
Materials
Stainless steel or thermoplastic wet ends suit drinking water. Cast iron suits non-potable duty. Say if the water is for drinking so materials can be matched.
Dry-run protection
If the supply fails, the pump must stop. A pressure or flow switch with low-inlet cut-out protects the seal and impeller.
Not for wastewater
Boosters are built for clean water. For wastewater see the sewage pump guide; for chemical lines see the chemical line.

Catalog SKUs closest to pressure-boost duty
Existing catalog pumps with studio reference images. Neither is described as a dedicated booster set; flow, pressure and options are quoted to your duty sheet.
What the catalog covers
The catalog lists a multistage high-head pump described for pressure boost and long pipe runs, and an end-suction centrifugal transfer pump. It does not list a packaged booster set, a pressure tank, a pressure switch, a flow switch or a variable-speed controller, so household and building booster duty is quoted to the duty sheet. See the transfer line.
Two ways to buy
OEM and private label
Building a booster range under your own brand? Start from a duty sheet. See Custom OEM for options and the private-label hub for housing, label and packaging.
Wholesale supply
Buying in crate lots for distribution or installation? The wholesale hub covers lots and spares. MOQ is quoted by SKU, not as a site-wide number.
Booster FAQ
Do you sell boosters to consumers?
No. This is OEM and wholesale supply for brands, distributors and contractors, with no cart and no public price. Send a duty sheet on the inquiry form.
What is a water pressure booster pump?
It is a pump that raises the pressure of water already in the pipe, for a house or building with weak supply. It is usually paired with a pressure switch and tank, a flow switch or a variable-speed controller.
Booster or transfer pump?
A booster raises pressure in a line. A transfer pump moves liquid to a destination. See the transfer pump guide.
Do I need a tank?
A pressure tank smooths demand and limits starts. A flow-switch setup works without one for simple on-demand use, and a variable-speed controller needs only a small tank.
Which catalog pumps are closest?
The high-head and centrifugal pumps on the transfer line. Neither is a packaged booster set, and the catalog has no pressure tank or controller.
Can you private-label these or supply them wholesale?
Yes. OEM and private-label work is quoted from a duty sheet. See private label and wholesale.
