FlowForge

Pool heater OEM and wholesale supply

How a pool heater sits on the circulation loop: heat pump, electric and gas types, the minimum flow a heater needs, pressure drop and bypass, and which materials suit treated water. This is a supply page, not a retail store. There are no public prices; every quote starts from your duty sheet.

Where a pool heater sits in the circulation loop

Heater in the return line

Water leaves the pool, passes the circulation pump and the filter, then goes through the heater before returning to the pool. The heater is a heat exchanger in that loop, so its hydraulics (flow, pressure drop, bypass) have to suit the pump.

Chemical feed goes after the heater

Sanitizer and pH chemicals are normally injected downstream of the heater, so concentrated chemical does not sit in the heat exchanger. See the dosing line for feed pumps.

Heat pump, electric and gas pool heater types

Heat pump

Moves heat from the outside air into the water. Output depends on air temperature, so it suits mild climates and long running hours. It needs air flow around the unit as well as water flow through it.

Electric resistance

An electric element heats the water directly. It is simple and compact, with the electrical supply (voltage, phase, current) as the main design constraint.

Gas

A burner heats a heat exchanger. It heats quickly and does not depend on air temperature. It needs a gas supply, venting and a flue, so installation rules matter in each market.

Choosing between them

Climate, how fast the pool must heat, available power or gas, and local installation rules decide the type. Say your market and supply on the RFQ.

Minimum flow, pressure drop and bypass

Minimum and maximum flow

Each heater has a flow window set by its heat exchanger. Too little flow can overheat the exchanger or trip the flow switch. Too much flow adds pressure drop and can wear the exchanger. State the pump flow at the duty point, in GPM or m³/h.

Pressure drop

The heater adds head to the loop, on top of the filter, valves and pipe. Add it to the pump duty, and use the dirty-filter case so the pump still delivers the minimum flow.

Bypass

When the pump flow is higher than the heater window, a bypass valve sends part of the water around the heater. A bypass lets one pump serve both the heater and the rest of the loop.

Plumbing, materials and corrosion

Heat exchangers in contact with chlorinated or salt water need corrosion-resistant materials; titanium is a common choice for heat pump exchangers. Fittings are usually thermoplastic. Water chemistry that is out of balance can damage any heater, so confirm materials on the RFQ.

OEM options we quote

Private-label casing and label

Your name on the casing, nameplate and carton, quoted to the duty sheet.

Heater type and capacity

Heat pump, electric or gas, with output class set to your market.

Connections and bypass

Port size and type, and whether a bypass valve is included.

Supply and packaging

Voltage, frequency and plug or terminal type, plus carton or crate lots.

Pool heater sizing checklist

Send these fields on the inquiry form. The pump spec guide has the general RFQ brief.

Pool volume and temperature goal

Volume, target water temperature and how quickly it must heat.

Climate and season

Design air temperature and the months of use.

Pump flow and head

Flow at the duty point and the pump it must pair with.

Energy source

Heat pump, electric or gas, with voltage and phase or gas type.

Water type

Chlorine, salt system or other sanitizer.

Branding and packaging

Private label, carton and quantity.

Quoted to your duty sheet

Pool heaters are quoted to the duty sheet. No catalog SKU on this site is a pool heater, so no catalog cards are shown here. The circulation side is on the pool pump page and the pool filter page.

Two ways to buy

OEM and private label

Building a heater range under your own brand? Start from a duty sheet. See Custom OEM for options and the private-label hub for housing, label and packaging.

Wholesale supply

Buying in crate lots for distribution or installation? The wholesale hub covers lots and spares. MOQ is quoted by SKU, not as a site-wide number.

Pool heater FAQ

Do you sell pool heaters to consumers?

No. This is OEM and wholesale supply for brands, distributors and installers. There is no cart and no public price. Send a duty sheet on the inquiry form.

What flow does a pool heater need?

It depends on the heater model. Each has a minimum and a maximum flow set by its heat exchanger, so match the pump flow at the duty point to that window and use a bypass if the pump flow is higher.

Should the heater go before or after the chemical feed?

Chemicals are normally fed after the heater so the concentrated dose does not pass through the heat exchanger.

Which heater type suits a mild climate?

Heat pumps work best where the air is mild and running hours are long, because their output follows air temperature. Gas and electric do not depend on air temperature the same way.

Can you private-label a pool heater or supply it wholesale?

Yes. OEM and private-label work is quoted from a duty sheet, and lots are quoted by SKU. See private label and wholesale.

Need a factory quote for custom pumps?

Send flow, head, fluid, catalog SKU or drawing, volume, and ship-to country. Typical reply within 24 hours on working days.
